MMI Engineered Solutions is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our award-winning leadership team. MMI Engineered Solutions provides world-class engineering solutions for advanced composites and engineered resins across multiple industries. We engineer innovative ideas for today's complex design and manufacturing issues.

The quality Engineer in this role will provide technical, clerical, and EMS audit support to operations quality. The quality Engineer will also provide on the job training of production associates.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage quality records to include (but not limited to):
    1. new employee color test scoring and low score notifications
    2. LPA reviews and follow-up to ensure proper and timely resolution to findings
    3. Sort sheets electronic storage and data linking to open customer concerns
    4. Corporate measurables calculate, record, graph, publish (SQCDME & Corporate Measurables doc.
    1. Quality alert issuance
  • VAS board(s) creation & maintenance
  • Champion team execution of internal IATF 16949 audits
  • ISO14001 perform monthly fire extinguisher and "EF-11" audits
  • Creation of measurement media use instructions (hand measurement tools) and associate training.
  • Champion customer concern containment and problem solving and related data collection and customer response support.
  • Provide support for the onboarding process for new employees
  • The quality engineer is responsible for the proper maintenance of quality documentation and VAS boards and for the accurate generation and reporting of KPI's in support of MMI-ES' QMS.
  • The quality engineer is responsible for internal audits in support of MMI-ES' QMS & EMS.
  • The quality engineer is responsible for the proper use of hand measurement tools on the manufacturing floor and the daily auditing of gages to ensure they are present, in working order, in the calibration system and calibration is current..
  • The quality engineer will provide assistance to other quality department team members as needed.


  • Microsoft office proficient
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with the use of hand measurement equipment (clippers, micrometers, pin, gages, attribute gages).
  • Good command of the English language: able to write work instructions and train others.
  • Internal auditing and problem solving skillsets/ experience.
  • Working knowledge of SPC / MSA.
