The quality Engineer in this role will provide technical, clerical, and EMS audit support to operations quality. The quality Engineer will also provide on the job training of production associates.

Essential Functions:

  • Program and perform dimensional layouts using Calipers; Height Gages; Romer Arm & CMM to support PPAP, annual layouts and problem solving.
  • Maintain the following for all measurement media intended to qualify product and/or process at MMI-ES:
  1. Calibration Log; is current with proper calibration frequencies, due dates, and completion dates recorded (ref QF216 "Calibration Log").
  2. IQMS; has all measurement media loaded with correct calibration frequencies and is managed / maintained effectively [ref QAW09 ("How to Set-up Calibration Notifications in IQMS"), QAW10 "How to Set-Up Calibration Due Dates in Calibration Notifications in IQMS", and QAW11 "How to Close Calibration Work Order in IQMS"].
  3. Calibrations; ensure measurement media is properly identified as to ID and calibration status, that related calibrations are supported by proper records to include internal calibration records, external calibration records (ref QP014 (" "Measurement System Calibration Process"). Outsourced calibrations must be managed per "QP015 External Calibrations Procedure".
  4. Calibrations Audits: perform daily "QF010 Daily Measurement Systems Media Calibrations Audit". Complete documentation, advise quality manager if something is found not to be in calibration (so as to manage potential "risks") and/or found to be in dis-repair.
  5. Own calibrations maintenance / management as described above.
  • Create and maintain First Article part/s and VAS board/s (Visual Acceptance Standard)
  • Maintain Process books (with support from Engineering for Packaging; Assembly; and Process instructions).
  • Conduct Internal Audits (System; Process; and Product audits); Communicate results to Supervisors; and Quality Manager


  • Microsoft office proficient
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with the use of hand measurement equipment (clippers, micrometers, pin, gages, attribute gages).
  • Good command of the English language: able to write work instructions and train others.
  • Internal auditing and problem solving skillsets/ experience.
  • Working knowledge of SPC / MSA.
